Meet Your Coach: A Journey of Healing, Strength, and Connection

Hello! I'm so glad you're here. My name is Laurel LeMohn, LMFTA, LMHCA, APCC, CTP and I've been helping people heal and grow for most of my life. I’ve been working directly with clients for over seven years and in that time, my approach to healing has evolved, and today, I specialize in somatic work, narrative therapy, and person-centered care. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing is a deeply personal process that requires understanding how past experiences shape our bodies, minds, and spirits.

The Heart of My Work

In coaching, I focus on the here and now. My work is especially centered on trauma—how it shows up in the body, mind, and spirit, and how we can shift our responses to the world as we become aware of it. I’m passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion.

I believe that our past does not define us, but it certainly shapes the way we interact with the world. Through coaching, we work together to unravel these experiences, connect the dots, and build new pathways to healing. I’ve worked with diverse populations, from marginalized communities to individuals struggling with homelessness, substance abuse, and severe trauma. Everyone has a story to tell, and I consider it an absolute privilege to be a part of that process.

A Personal Connection

My desire to become a healer, therapist, and coach began when I was just nine years old. I knew, deep down, that helping people was my calling. Over the years, my life took me through many twists and turns, but that calling remained a constant.

I understand pain—physical, emotional, and psychological—on a deep level. As a child, I faced severe illness, and at one point, I even flatlined. I spent weeks in an incubator, unable to be touched or held. These early experiences of isolation and disconnection shaped who I am today and fueled my passion for helping others who feel unseen or unheard.

Through my journey, I've struggled with severe depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I’ve gained and lost over eighty pounds. I’ve spent time in hospitals, a psychiatric ward, battled with my own self-worth, and faced the challenges of being a highly sensitive person in a world that often doesn’t make room for that sensitivity. But every hardship has been a teacher, and it has made me a stronger, more compassionate human being.

A Safe Space for Healing

In my practice, I aim to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. I know how isolating it can feel to be in pain or to go through tough times, and I want you to know that you are not alone. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or simply navigating life’s challenges, I’m here to walk with you.

My approach is strength-based. I believe in focusing on what’s going well in your life, exploring your inner resilience, and helping you harness that to create lasting change. I’m committed to normalizing your experiences and offering real-life examples to let you know that you're not the only one facing these struggles.

Looking Forward

I’ve always known that I was meant to help others, and I’m grateful that my path led me here. Whether you’re struggling with difficult emotions, relationships, or past trauma, I’m here to support you. If you're ready to begin this journey of healing, I would love to work together and explore the possibilities for growth and transformation.

Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about my story. I look forward to getting to know yours.
