A Journey of Healing, Strength, and Connection

Hi friend, I’m Laurel—and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a trauma therapist and Founder of West Coast Psychotherapy, CEO of SoulBody Wellness, spiritual intuitive, and host of the Spiritual Friction podcast—creating spaces for integrative, trauma-informed care, and reflective conversation.

I believe that healing happens when we are met with presence, curiosity, and care. For more than eight years, I’ve worked alongside individuals navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, identity, and the quiet ache of feeling disconnected—from themselves and from others. Over time, my work has evolved into an integrative approach rooted in somatic awareness, narrative therapy, and person-centered care.

At the heart of my work is a simple truth: our stories live not only in our minds, but in our bodies and nervous systems. The experiences we’ve survived shape how we move through the world—how we relate, protect ourselves, and make meaning. Healing isn’t about erasing the past; it’s about understanding it with compassion and creating new ways of being that feel safer, more grounded, and more authentic.

The Heart of My Work

My work is person-centered, relational, and deeply human. I specialize in trauma-informed care, with attention to how trauma shows up in the body, emotions, and patterns of connection. Together, we slow things down. We listen closely—to sensation, language, memory, and meaning. We get curious about what your system learned in order to survive, honoring that wisdom while gently exploring what’s ready to shift.

I strive to create a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and real—a place where nothing needs to be performed or fixed. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances, including people impacted by systemic oppression, homelessness, substance use, and complex trauma. Every person carries a story, and I consider it an honor to witness and hold that story with care.

A Personal Thread

My calling to this work began early. Even as a child, I felt a deep pull toward helping others feel less alone. My own life has been shaped by experiences of illness, disconnection, depression, anxiety, and profound sensitivity. I know what it’s like to feel unseen, to struggle in silence, and to search for language around pain that feels hard to name.

These experiences don’t define me—but they inform my empathy, my pacing, and my respect for each person’s process. They’ve taught me that healing is rarely linear, and that resilience often grows quietly, over time, in relationship.

A Space for Healing and Story

In my work, my intention is for you to feel seen, heard, and understood—whether you are sharing your own story or listening to the stories of others. Healing does not happen in isolation; it happens in relationship. Whether you’re seeking support through community, are ready to share your own story, or simply tuning in and listening, you are invited to show up exactly as you are.

If you’re here, something in you is already listening. And if you’re ready to explore your story, your body, and your inner landscape with care and curiosity, I’d be honored to walk alongside you and share space.

Thank you for being here.
I look forward to getting to know your story.

Warmly,
Laurel
