Why Integrating Body, Mind, and Spirit Matters in Therapy

I had the pleasure of joining Liz Frost, founder of Intentional Spaces, on the With Intention podcast to explore the importance of integrating body, mind, and spirit into the therapeutic process.

Throughout our conversation, we discussed the differences between traditional talk therapy and somatic approaches, the role of breathwork and nervous system awareness, and how our lived experiences shape the way we understand ourselves and connect with others.

I also shared parts of my personal journey, including what it meant to grow up as a highly sensitive child, my early calling to become a therapist, and why I believe authentic relationships and human connection are essential to healing.

At the heart of our conversation is something I deeply believe: healing isn't about fixing ourselves. It's about creating space to understand our experiences, reconnect with our bodies, and develop greater trust in ourselves and our intuition.
